Herein, we shower you with urgent information. Are you willing to face up to the facts? Are you willing to sink your teeth into the truth that will enhance your health? Now is the time to make a clean break from the everyday chemicals that are robbing you of your health.
Each year, millions of Americans are adversely affected by a silent form of chemical warfare, that’s taking place every day, within the comforts of their own homes. While people are rightly concerned about the chemical weaponry of terrorists, and the lead-contaminated imported toys, there are people literally poisoning their immune systems with thousands of toxic chemicals. These chemicals are known carcinogens, hormone disrupters, and cancer-causing agents.
Beginning with the morning routine, many men will probably use shampoo, soap, toothpaste,
mouthwash, deodorant, hair gel or other hair styling products, shaving cream, and aftershave or cologne. A typical day, for many women, begins much the same way with the added possibilities of shower gel, body and face cream, lotion, moisturizer, make-up, hair spray, perfume, and nail polish. By the time people make it to their front door, they have swallowed, inhaled, and absorbed through their skin, hundreds of toxic chemicals. Some of these very chemicals have been proven deadly to laboratory animals and, many of these chemicals are known to be carcinogens. If suffering from dry flaky skin, persistent skin irritations, rashes, sinus problems, allergies, asthma, respiratory ailments, and other health challenges that never seem to get cured, it may be time to examine the negative health effects of personal care products.
Always great to be active and to be conscious of the eating regime. If wanting to achieve optimal health, also become educated on what is being put onto, and into, the body through personal-care products. Any substance that is put onto the skin, or that is inhaled, enters the bloodstream (like if swallowed). Once these unnatural chemicals enter the bloodstream, they are perceived — by the immune system — as foreign (not recognizable). These same unnatural chemicals are perceived — by the liver — as toxins. When the immune system — and the liver — are dealing with toxic chemical overload, they are not available to perform their particular functions. This is why people, who continue to use toxic personal-care products, suffer from frequent bacterial and viral infections, other mysterious maladies, and cancer.
Do take a close look at the ingredients in personal-care products. Besides water, are there any ingredients, on products’ labels, that you think people will recognize as naturally-occurring substances? Each of us is a natural being, therefore, if an ingredient does not occur in nature, should we go ahead anyway and hurt our precious body by using it?
More than 4,000 toxic chemicals are used in unnatural fragrances and, many of these chemicals are waste products from the petroleum industry. Several of them are known to cause cancer, birth defects, infertility and brain/central nervous system damage (includes Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease and Alzheimer’s). Since so many products are now unnaturally scented, the number of people — who are made ill by chemical fragrances — is steadily increasing. Babies and children are especially vulnerable along with people recovering from illness/disease. Chemical fragrances are in laundry detergents, fabric softeners, dishwashing liquids, suntan products, sunscreens, incense, lotions, moisturizers, lip balms, etc. Chemical fragrance is even found in many products labeled as unscented because chemical fragrance may be contained within a compound and, then this very same compound may get added to a product. Exposure to unnaturally scented products can cause the persistent symptoms — that mystify many people — such as chronic aches and pains, headaches, allergies, swollen glands and lymph tenderness, heart palpitations, memory loss, fatigue, asthma, nausea and neural-motor functioning (includes dizziness and fainting). Exposure to children — and even adults — can cause learning challenges, behavioral challenges, attention deficit and hyperactivity.
What about the people whom say: “All personal-care products are safe or, the government would not allow them to be sold.” The latter-stated simply is not true. Many people are quite surprised to find out that the personal-care products’ industry is not supervised. The FDA does not require manufacturers to register their personal-care products or to file safety data on their personal – care products’ ingredients. Manufacturers of personal-care products are free to include as many toxic chemicals — in their product formulations — as they desire. The only thing that will stop these manufacturers from producing toxic personal-care products is negative outburst from the public. Many more magazines use to include chemically scented strips that advertise the latest perfumes. So many people were sickened and, these people complained whereby, the use of these chemically scented strips was dramatically reduced. If enough people refuse to buy toxic personal-care products, manufacturers would have to stop making them.
The products people use while taking a shower can be particularly dangerous. This is because these products are being used at a time when the pores — of the skin — are opened if showering with hot water (allowing quick and easy access to the bloodstream).
Many people are shocked when they examine their shampoo. There are more than 100 toxic chemicals traditionally used to make shampoo. Apart from chemical fragrances and chemical dyes, a large number of shampoo brands contain 20 to 30 of these toxic chemicals. Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) is a dominant ingredient in nearly all shampoos. In addition to SLS’s toxic effects on the immune and detoxification systems, SLS has been shown to corrode the hair follicles thus impeding hair growth. SLS has been blamed for premature hair loss. The Material Safety Data Sheet — provided by the U.S. government — says: Exposure to SLS can lead to burning, coughing, wheezing, laryngitis, shortness of breath, headaches, nausea and vomiting. The American College of Toxicology says: SLS stays in the body for up to 5 days and maintains residual levels in the heart, liver, lungs and brain.
There are many alternative natural substances available that will clean and beautify far better than the toxic concoctions designed for the same purpose. However, the large corporations that produce toxic personal-care products will not use these alternative natural substances. This is because of costing too much money thus interfering with their profits. These big corporate bodies go so far as to attempt to disguise their harmful inexpensive toxic chemicals with the products’ tiny amounts of natural ingredients that are prominently featured on the products’ front label. This is done to deceive people into purchasing what they think is a health-promoting item. However, a turn of the bottle reveals a mind-boggling list of toxic ingredients! Many people are speaking out with their dollars. These same people refuse to pay their hard-earned money to corporations that strive to deceive and lie to people.
Discovering how to replace toxic personal-care products with products that are health-promoting can be a challenging task. No matter what the label states, there are virtually No personal-care products — in any of the discount stores, traditional supermarkets, or drugstores — that are without toxic chemicals. There is greater opportunity of finding health-promoting personal-care products at a health-food market. Yet, at this juncture, so many people just assume, with what truly is a false sense of security, that they can purchase whatever personal-care products appeal to them without concern over toxic chemicals.
Many personal-care products, marketed as natural, contain high levels of toxic ingredients. When working on replacing toxic personal-care products, with health-promoting products of the same, almost every product lists ingredients that sound like chemicals. The only way to know for sure if an ingredient is toxic, or health-promoting, is to research these ingredients.
It’s not easy to make the change from disease-promoting personal-care products to health-promoting ones. This process seems to require some trial and error, the time to do research, patience, and a commitment to pay for the quality health-promoting personal-care products now demanded. Of course, we, of ToLiveWell, are here to provide lots of guidance. Once the change is made, and once these health-promoting personal-care products become as familiar as the toxic personal-care product purchases of the past, it will be easy from that point on. Now realized is that a significant investment in present health and future health — and freedom from disease — has been made. What a feeling of great accomplishment. It’s all a matter of priorities … and putting health in the forefront. Do understand that looking one’s best can only be achieved with health from the inside out. Do what’s good for the inside of the body and, the outside of the body will show gorgeousness! Be beautiful!
Yes, it is true: The precious babies, of the world, are far more vulnerable to carcinogens than adults. Many people only consider babies as aborted when they do not get their opportunity to physically enter into this world (by their mother’s choice). However, how many people grasp the concept of after-birth abortions, as ToLiveWell views what is being done to our literally new birthed society?
